Need: The US Chamber
of Commerce asked CCG to help organize a major symposium as part of
their effort to build strong bi-partisan support among reform minded
governors and major business leaders for the Chamber’s Litigation
Fairness Campaign. The meeting forum and all communication materials
needed to project and invoke the dignity, power and importance of their
Federalism initiative.
Action: CCG developed,
organized and managed a comprehensive meeting and communication program
that culminated in a highly acclaimed 2-day event. From a private pre-Symposium
host dinner to the full-day meeting in the Rotunda of the Ronald Reagan
International Trade Center, governors, White House representatives,
scholars and corporate leaders met and participated in The Federalism
Symposium—a national dialogue between business and government.
Results: The meeting
produced an exploration of common ground between the business community
and state and local officials on federalism-related issues. CCG was
recognized for its “outstanding abilities” and major contribution
to the success of the event with endorsements from high-level participants
such as Governor Keating of Oklahoma, Governor Engler of Michigan and
James Wootton, president of the US Chamber of Commerce.
