| Need:
RLT Medical Associates, Inc. needed to launch Cardiophonics 1000- a
remote event loop recorder for the Center for Telemedicine—to
the physician, hospital and general public markets. Further, they wanted
to amass media endorsements to facilitate an investor relations package.
Action: CCG developed
a media intensive program on the news value that (1) this device was
the first major breakthrough in over 30 years in ambulatory heart monitoring,
(2) positioned telemedicine as a key component in the reduction of escalating
health care costs, and (3) had the potential to bring modern medicine
to underserved areas.
Results: Results from
this 1-2-3-punch media blitz placed feature stories on the front page
of the Baltimore Sun business section and in all area business publications.
Feature stories were placed on two network-affiliated TV stations in
Baltimore and a newswire release netted national placements in key trade
publications. Media goals were met and exceeded—product launch
was deemed successful by the client.
