| Need: The
Federal Aviation Agency Office of Information Systems Security needed
to foster a common understanding of the ISS Program across all organizational
domains—both private and public sector interests. The FAA asked
CCG to establish a means of communication to inform stakeholders regarding
FAA actions to preserve the security of its global information systems.
Action: CCG designed
a forum of real-time and on-line meetings at the FAA headquarters in
Washington, DC, as a solution to proactively managing information dissemination.
The program was designed to launch a deliverable, two-way opportunity
for industry partners and vendors to get & give information. It
also served to mitigate disruption to the normal flow of business brought
about by the high demand for information.
Results: The initial
forum was highly effective in achieving program goals. It evolved as
an ongoing function of the FAA Communications Outreach Program and was
scheduled at FAA field offices in Oklahoma City and Atlantic City. A
video of the forum was archived for vendors needing information that
did not attend the meeting, and an on-line record of the meeting served
the needs of industry partners- both actions addressed the need to eliminate
agency disruptions.
